All-Conference Honors for Golf

Both the men’s and women’s golf teams concluded their season on Sunday, April 27 by competing in the Centennial Conference Championship meet at the Dupont Country Club. The men tied for fourth and the women finished in third place.

The men’s team finished with a total of 946, tying with Muhlenberg and finishing behind Swarthmore, McDaniel, and the champion, Franklin & Marshall, who shot a cumulative 899.

Chris Noonan ’15 led the way by shooting a 54 hole total of 231.

Brian Palm ’14 placed just behind, shooting a 234, and Linn Worthington ’15 shot a 240.  George Voris ’16 totalled a 243, shooting a consistent 83-81-79.

On the women’s side, Melanie Campbell ’15 placed third overall en route to earning First-Team All Conference honors. She shot a 178 over the 36 holes with an 86 on the first day.

Stephanie Heiring ’17  of Wayzata, Illinois excelled in her first conference championship, shooting a 180 to place fifth in the tournament. Heiring’s efforts earned her the Centennial Conference Rookie of the Year award. Casey Colburn ’15 shot a 191, good for thirteenth overall.

Gettysburg won the women’s title with an overall score of 707. Dickinson’s 780 placed them behind McDaniel’s 749.
