Caf Review: BLT Pita

While I am personally a huge Caf person, every once in a while my schedule gets so piled up that I run to the SNAR for dinner. For dinner I decided to get the BLT Pita instead.

At first, I was surprised by the contents of the pita: chicken, mayo and bacon. It seemed a bit counterintuitive to have a BLT without lettuce or tomato. So, I added the lettuce as an extra option along with pepperjack cheese. While I tend to be a bit hesitant about the SNAR, expecting to get an overcooked or super greasy meal, I ended up really enjoying this pita.

The pita was still a bit greasy, but that isn’t unusual for a sandwich filled with chicken and bacon. At times the chicken felt a little overwhelming, but I think it pairs well with the crunchy bacon that is also part of the pita. The addition of lettuce and cheese was a great choice because it provided some extra flavor and texture to an otherwise relatively bland meal.

With a little bit of personalization, most SNAR sandwiches and pitas can be made into pretty decent meals that fit whatever level of hunger you may be feeling. I would say the BLT is worth a try.
