The construction of the new dorm, located on 448 and 450 West High Street and 33 Conway Street, is “going according to schedule,” according to Angie Harris, associate dean of students. The new dorm, consisting of 150 beds, is going to be spacious and will house one of the largest lounges on campus, said Harris. Due to the project’s proximity to Malcolm, the residents had a meeting on Monday, August 28 about the noise from construction.  Alexis Scott ’19 says, “most of the noise happens in the more and it can be annoying.” Vice President and Dean of Student Life Joyce Bylander stated that the dorm is scheduled to be completed by fall 2018.
