On Ariana Grande’s Split with Pete Davidson

In recent coverage by TMZ, it was revealed that celebrity couple Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson have broken up.

According to the initial news release from TMZ’s website, a source close to the couple had announced that “it was simply not the right time for their relationship to take off.”

Grande and Davidson had announced their engagement in June, which was surprisingly shortly after they started dating in the first place. However, the break up did not come with too much shock to some loyal fans of Ariana.

At the end of August, Ariana Grande had the honor of performing at the funeral of the late Aretha Franklin. There was controversy over the pastor who had touched her inappropriately during his speech and especially over Ariana’s short dress at a formal event.

Not long after the funeral took place, Pete Davidson conducted an interview that pretty much sealed the deal for the couple. Davidson discussed how he couldn’t blame the pastor for touching Ariana in such a way, because she was extremely sexy. He even went to reveal that in order to hold off on releasing during sex, he thought of his father who had died when the Twin Towers went down on 9/11.

That statement in itself should have sent off warning flags for anyone who has human decency. If you are in a relationship, do not go talking about your significant other as if they are an object to be sexually harassed by others. Not only is it inhumane, but it’s also completely disrespectful to the relationship.

Many people have speculated that Davidson’s interview was the main reason why Ariana Grande called off the relationship with him. Honestly, I can’t blame her. Just because the both of them are artists doesn’t give them the right to mistreat each other like that, especially in Davidson’s case. Plus, I would hate to be in engaged to someone I thought I knew only to find out how twisted they are to think of their father dying during sex. Who in their right mind chooses to do that?

Their relationship started quickly, and it ended just as quick. I personally feel that their relationship was extremely rushed and it was most likely essential for it to be over before they caused more harm to each other. Although Ariana gave back everything about the relationship, including the $100,000 engagement ring, she kept the one thing that truly mattered: her pig.
