Trump Drops Out of Race to Support Planned Parenthood: Heart Grows Three Sizes

In a shocking turn of events, Donald Trump has recently announced that he is halting his presidential campaign.

Just hours after the third Republican debate, Trump tweeted, “My eyes have been opened. I am no longer running for president.” This comment was met with a wide array of reactions on the popular social media site.

The revelation that Trump referred to in this comment was an intervention that all of the women ever associated with Trump held for him after the third debate. They had finally decided to tell him how his words and actions affected them as women, and he got the message.

“He actually didn’t talk for most of the intervention. He actually listened, and took what we had to say to heart,” said Ivanka Trump. “He didn’t even make an awkward joke about sleeping with me or my sister.”

Rosie O’Donnell had been unable to physically attend the intervention, but she sent Trump a video recommending that he “f****** listen to what these women have to say and then go do something productive for society, like save Planned Parenthood.”

Immediately after the intervention, Trump donated all of the money he had been hiding from the IRS to Planned Parenthood, displaying his change of heart on women’s issues. Trump told CNN that the donation “was just the beginning. Starting today, I am devoting all of the time that previously went into caring for my entirely real hair to caring about women’s healthcare.”

Trump supporters were devastated at the news. Many of them retweeted Trumps statement followed by #Trump4Life to show their continued support of the politician.

One very dedicated Trump fan on Dickinson’s campus, Jeff Dale Hunter ’17, cut his hair to match Trump’s very real and recognizable style and then reached out to the Dickinsonian.

“Trump was finally the candidate that America has needed for years,” Hunter stated. “He was no-nonsense, didn’t give a flying s*** what other people thought when he spoke his mind. He had broken through the weak political correctness that holds back every other idiot in Washington. He was going to make America white again… I mean great again, make America great again!”

Other presidential hopefuls also gave responses to Trump’s departure from the race over social media. Jeb Bush publicly thanked Trump for the competition he provided in the beginning of the 2016 presidential race, and wished him luck on his next endeavor. He then retracted this statement upon learning that Trump was leaving the race to focus on advocating for Planned Parenthood.

Hilary Clinton tweeted that she had “a lot of fun” competing with Trump and hoped that he was going to be able to save Planned Parenthood from Congress. Dr. Ben Carson condemned Trump’s choice, reminding him that women do not need any special healthcare, that “the female body is equipped to handle any situation that a man can put it in.”
