Three Red Devil athletes earned Centennial Conference player-of-the-week honors.

Multiple Red Devil athletes were named Centennial Conference players of the week, with Eric Herrmann ’19 and Sarah House ’20 earning the honors for men’s and women’s cross country and Freddie Bancroft ’17 taking the award for field hockey.

Bancroft, has had a great start to her senior season, racking up 20 saves against York College on Wednesday, September 6 in a 1-0 Red Devil overtime loss. She made eight saves against Lebanon Valley College on Saturday, September 9 as Dickinson won 3-1. She currently has a 1.39 goals-against-average and a save percentage of .903. Bancroft will be back in action with the rest of the Red Devil field hockey team on Tuesday, September 12 against Shenandoah University.

Herrmann started his junior season in convincing fashion as he took home the individual title. He also helped the men’s cross country team earn a first-place finish in the Little Three Championships on Friday, September 8. He set a lightning-quick pace, finishing 10 seconds ahead of the next fastest runner in the race. He led the way as Dickinson runners placed in each of the top-seven spots.

House also posted a stellar performance at the Little Three, as she led the Red Devil women to a win, their 24th consecutive victory. House took home first place in the individual standings with a time of 18:03 as eight Dickinson runners finished in the top ten. The cross country teams will next compete at the Purple Valley Classic hosted by Williams College on September 23rd.
