Women’s Golf Goes 2-2 Against Franklin & Marshall

As the Dickinson College women’s golf team played the last match of their season they were excited to be able to host in Carlisle for an intense Dual Match against rival Franklin & Marshall.

The match took place Sunday, Oct. 14 at Carlisle Barracks Golf Club in Carlisle Pennsylvania. 4 match ups occurred throughout the course of the day. As this was the first dual match of the season, Rachael Czerna ’21 commented on it when talking about the day, “…match play was different than what we usually play but the whole team rose to the occasion.”

In reality they did rise to the occasion in every way. All the matches were strong and played well from the first to the 18th hole.

Olivia Brown ’21 found victory in her individual match up. Czerna also matched her in victory playing a very close match where she won on the 18th green.

The final score for the women was a 2-2 tie with Franklin and Marshall but the women are happy. Czerna states, “It was competitive and a nail-biter up until the end which always makes the matches more exciting.”

This match marks the end of the fall season for the women. They will return in the spring to continue play and competition in  a large number of matches.
