Women’s Soccer Defeats Bryn Mawr

After an exciting overtime victory on Wednesday Oct. 10 against Widener University the Dickinson College women’s soccer team was ready to carry this momentum into the weekend.

The Dickinson Red Devils hosted Bryn Mawr Saturday Oct. 13.  To start the game, just a few minutes in, Ally Diez ’21 put the women of Dickinson on the board.    To continue the success and excitement, Abby Zandi ’20 found the net again pulling the lead to 2-0 over the Bryn Mawr Owls. Within minutes the owls answered with a goal of their own bringing the game within one goal.

It did not stay this way for long thanks to Elizabeth Krause ’20 who put the women in an even better set up for success with a goal before halftime making the score at halftime 3-1 in favor of Dickinson.

The second half of the game remained scoreless for both teams and resulted in a 3-1 victory for the Red Devils. We wish the women luck as they travel to Haverford College Saturday. Oct. 20 at noon for a hopeful continuation of the previous success.
