After starting the golf season off very hot, the Dickinson College men’s golf team took their talents down to the McDaniel Invitational. Over the two-day tournament the Red Devils finished 5th overall out of the 18 team field. On Both Saturday, March 28 and Sunday, March 29, the Red Devils shot a combined team score of 321. Although the conditions were tough, the Red Devils were still able to turn out some great individual performances. Senior Chris Noonan shot a 78 on both Saturday and Sunday to finish 11th overall in the individual scoring. Also, Senior Captain Linn Worthington finished the weekend shooting a solid 80 on both Saturday and Sunday to finish 17th in the field.

The conditions definitely made this weekend difficult for the Red Devils, but they showed great poise and composure battling through the elements and putting out a solid performance. “I don’t think we had our best showing of the season,” said Worthington, “but I’m really proud of the team. They grinded out a top 5 finish in some tough conditions and that to me is impressive. It’s a win within itself.” The Red Devils look to improve on this past weekend when they travel to Stevenson University to compete in the Mustang Invitational on Monday, April 6.
