Caf Review: Falafel

Caf Review: Falafel

Served on occasion at the Kove and the main line in the caf, falafel is always a delicious option; especially when served with slaw and tzatziki sauce. The slaw is usually composed of cucumbers, red onions and cabbage. Tzatziki is a sauce made with salted and strained yogurt along with cucumbers, garlic, salt and olive oil and is occasionally served with vinegar and lemon juice. Herbs such as dill, mint, parsley or thyme can also be added. Falafel is often served in a pita, although it can also be eaten on its own. The caf’s falafel, although having a notably tough outside, still boasts the necessary chickpea flavor. The toppings make the dish much more enjoyable and give an element of crunch and creaminess to the texture of the chickpea in the falafel. Although the coating of the falafel takes a bit of getting used to, overall, I would recommend this dish.
