Describe your room style: Organized, clean, calming and cool 

Favorite piece in your room: Mikayla’s favorite thing in her room is also what she considers the most relaxing spot in the suite: her bed. “It’s so comfortable and cozy. I am very busy with school and Syrens so when I have a chance to relax it’s really amazing,” she said.

Sydney prefers the wall right above her bed. “I hung up pictures of my friends and watercolor artwork my suite mates and I made. When I look at my wall from my bed I am reminded of good times,” she said.

Dorm Inspiration:
 Mikayla was inspired by her dusty pink duvet that she purchased, and decided to base the room around that. “I wanted our space to be very clean and simple with a colorful twist to reflect our personalities.  I am inspired by clean, simple dorm design and incorporated things that bring me joy and add to the overall vibe of the dorm,” she said. 

Sydney, on the other hand, chose to focus on friends and family as the focal point of the room. “I was inspired by my friends and family and by the pictures and artwork that I have collected over the last few months. It was important to me to have things that make me smile while simultaneously fitting in with the overall design of our room,” she said.

Fun Fact: Mikayla always keeps crossword puzzles, Sudoku books and word searches in her desk for when she is bored or needs to give her brain a workout.
