There are a variety of religious organizations on campus. If you are interested in attending any, their information is below.
Hillel is the Jewish organization on campus. There are weekly Shabbat services at the Asbell Center for Jewish Life. Information on service times can be found on Hillel’s Instagram: @dsonhillel and @dsonjewishlife. There are also bi-weekly ‘Chillel’ events that are posted on both Instagrams, as well. The Muslim Education and Cultural Association (MECA) is the Islamic organization on campus. Events are posted on Engaged, and take place at the Popel Shaw Center for Race and Ethnicity. Student organizer, Fathima Mohammadi, is reachable at [email protected] and [email protected]. Important dates in the Islamic calendar include Rabbi ul Awal—the birth month of Prophet Muhammad.
The Orthodox Christian Fellowship (OCF) is the Orthodox Christian Organization on campus. There are Bible Studies hosted Saturdays at the Allison Interfaith Chapel from 1:30-2:30 p.m.. There is monthly liturgy on Sundays with lunch following. Other questions about OCF can be directed to Father Ted at [email protected]. The Dickinson Christian Fellowship (DCF) is Dickinson’s non-denominational Christian organization on campus. DCF is reachable at [email protected]. There are a variety of events, including bible study, worship nights, invited speakers, and ‘Grilled Cheese Text Please!’ where you message your spiritual questions, and receive a free grilled cheese with an answer! Bible studies are held Tuesdays at 8p.m. in Drayer and Wednesdays at 8p.m. in Baird. They are a chapter of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship USA.
Dickinson’s Catholic Campus Ministry (DCCM) is the campus’s Catholic organization. They are reachable at [email protected]. There is a weekly mass held at the Allison Interfaith Chapel starting at 7:30. Mass is held by campus priest, Fr. Dozy Onouju. He is available for direct confession and spiritual navigation.
