Women’s Swim Falls to Bloomsburg

 

The Dickinson women’s swim team suffered a tough loss to Division II Bloomsburg University on Saturday, November 18, by  a final tally of 129-65.

Molly Sternick ’20 won the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:17.26 and placed third with the 200-medley relay as well as fourth in the 100 free, touching the wall in 56.61.

Hannah Griffith ’21 won the 200 breaststroke (2:35.10) and earned bronze in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:53.62, while classmate Hannah Mulcahy ’21 swam to silver in the breaststroke, finishing in 2:53.48.

Devon Korhammer ’18 anchored the free relay to a cumulative time of 1:48.40 and finished fourth in the 200 backstroke, clocking in at 2.21.76.

Lindsay Robinson ’20 swam the second leg of the Red Devils’ medley relay effort, placed third with the medley relay and claimed another bronze in the 500 free with a time of 5:45.66. Classmate Demetria Ruhl ’20 joined the medley relay as well and earned bronze in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:18.56.

Shannon Bonner ’19 anchored the medley relay while Madison Littlepage ’21 came in fourth in the 200 freestyle, touching the wall in 2:05.27.

The Red Devils’ record slips to 3-3 overall on the season and stands at 1-1 in Centennial Conference competition. They will travel to the Gettysburg Invitational on Friday, December 1 and Saturday, December 2 at Gettysburg College to face two opponents that are yet-to-be-determined.
