Volleyball Faces Defeat in Final Matchup of the Season

The Dickinson College volleyball team fell 0-3 to the Gettysburg Bullets.

This past Saturday, Nov. 9, the Dickinson College volleyball team faced Gettysburg in their final match of the season. Unfortunately, the women of Dickinson lost 0-3.  

The loss did not occur without a good fight by the Red Devils. The first and third set held very close scores with a 21-25 in both. Each set went back and forth with points won strongly by both sides. The second set was not as close resulting in a 14-25 loss for the Red Devils.  

Kristin Allgaier ’21 led the day with 13 assists, a total of seven digs, and a pair of kills. She led the way for Dickinson.  Each team tallied 5 blocks. They were almost evenly matched in Digs with 47 by Dickinson and 53 by Gettysburg. The Bullets had 6 aces compared to Dickinson’s 3. Tatiana Lopez ’21 led in number of digs with 10.  

The women of Dickinson finish the season with a 15-10 overall winning record and 4-6 in the Centennial Conference. They had a great season with a great deal of hard training and determination to make it to the end.
