Men & Women’s Track Compete in Susquehanna Invitational

The men and women’s track team traveled to Susquehanna to compete.

This past weekend, Saurday, Feb. 15, the Dickinson College men and women’s indoor track & field team traveled to the Susquehanna Invitational where they competed strongly. 

On the men’s side, there were many finishes in the top five. Cole Boback ’23 came in third in the 200-meter dash in a field of 51 competitors, Boback also had a second-place finish in the 400-meter dash. Teddy Mercer ’23 came in fourth in the 800-meter run. Charles Scharf ’22 secured a third-place finish in the 3000-meter run, and Jacob Doherty Munro ’22 placed second in the 5000-meter run.Brock Hartman ’21 placed fourth in the shot put. 

On the women’s side, there were many impressive races and events as well with finishes in the top five. Allyson Yanega ’21 finished second in the 800-meter run. The 4×400 meter relay placed second behind Eastern. Mary Smith placed fifth in the Weight Throw 20 lb. Alexandra Colby ’22 commented on the day, “I think the meet went really well. We had a lotof great performances and some conference qualifiers which was great. It was nice to see the momentum our team had going into conferences in the upcoming weeks to come.”
