Caf Review

When I heard that the caf was serving Paella the other day, I was more than a little intrigued. Paella, which is a Spanish rice dish typically made with an array of vegetables, seafood, and meat, is generally seasoned with saffron and paprika. This was one of my favorite dishes to eat while I was in Spain last summer. The caf version was similar, but had pieces of chicken and smoked sausage instead of the seafood. Overall, I really enjoyed the Paella. The smoked sausage gave off a nice level of heat and a hint of smokiness that balanced perfectly with the paprika. My only critique was that the rice was a bit overcooked, but that didn’t bother me too much because the dish was overall very flavorful. The roasted broccoli I had on the side, however, could’ve used a bit more time in the oven. All in all, though, this was a very enjoyable and creative dish.
