The Waidner-Spahr Library has added complimentary magazines and newspapers to its collection. On April 1, the library began using PressReader, giving the Dickinson community access to 2,500 local, regional and national newspapers and magazines.

This digital service can be accessed on laptops, tablets and smartphones.

“PressReader is a great solution for libraries like the Waidner-Spahr Library that are looking to extend their global catalogue,” said Igor Smirnoff, chief commercial officer for PressReader, in an April 1 press release. “PressReader’s convenient, eco-friendly delivery format and advanced technology makes reading a more engaging experience.”

Some of the available publications include Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Aujourd’hui en France, The Guardian and Gulf News. The publications come from over 100 countries and are in 60 languages.

PressReader can be found at, or by the PressReader application. For more information, contact a member of the library staff.
