Rachel Lazris ’20 totaled 1 goal and 1 assist in the Red Devils’ 4-0 win over Lycoming on Wednesday, September 7.

The Dickinson women’s soccer team carried on their red hot form into the season with two blow-out wins against Lycoming College and Eastern University.

The Red Devils took on Lycoming College on Wednesday at Miller Memorial Field. It did not take long for the Red Devils to get on the scoreboard, as Olivia Termini ’19 blasted a cannonball into the back of the net, putting Dickinson up after less than 7 minutes. The Red Devils doubled their lead 15 minutes later when Gabriella Tomasini ’17 scored another long range screamer from the right side.

The Red Devils started the second half just as well as their first, as Rachel Lazris ’20 calmly converted from the penalty spot in the 62nd minute after Carolina Sguerra ’17 was fouled inside the area. The Red Devils sealed the game 4 minutes later when Eryn McDonald ’20 scored her first collegiate goal with another superb long range effort.

The Devils were in cruise control for the entire game, amassing 23 shots on target with 15 corner kicks taken. The lead could have been much higher without Lycoming goalkeeper Joelle Winey who performed outstandingly with 19 saves.

Eastern College looked to end The Devils’ win streak on Saturday but found themselves down 0-1 inside 25 minutes. Termini  continued to show her goal-scoring prowess, curling a wonderful free kick into the back of the net. It was a very even first half, with Eastern College pushed higher up the field looking for an equalizer but to no avail.

It was a tale of two halves, however Dickinson came roaring out after the break with 9 shots on goal compared to Eastern College’s 1. Two of them found the back of the net when Termini scored her second goal by lobbing a loose ball over the keeper. With less than a minute remaining, Elizabeth Krause ’20 provided a wonderful assist for Briona Davis ’19 to finally finish off the game.

The Red Devils are still undefeated 4 games into the season with a 3-0-1 record and look to extend their unbeaten form when they host Alvernia University on Tuesday night. Their first Centennial Conference match up is next Saturday, September 17, at home against Haverford.
