The Red Devils followed up their win over McDaniel with a heated match against Gettysburg for the final spot in the Centennial Conference playoffs. They were just over 17 minutes away from a tie, which would have given them the spot, but Maddie Heaney scored in the 72nd minute, assisted by Samantha Esposito. The win gave the Bullets 18 points in the standings and the final spot.

The Red Devils had a great chance to score just before Heaney netted her goal, as Goldrich and Briona Davis ’20 drove the ball to the net, but Brittany Smith made the save for Gettysburg.

Gettysburg’s record moves to 9-6-2 overall and 6-4 in the Conference. The Red Devils finish their 2017 campaign 11-5-2 overall and 5-4-1 in the Conference.
